Below are the links to the latest BMFA and government updates and consultation documents, that may affect us as model flyers.

The documents refer to drones, rather than fixed wing, helicopter or multi rotor. Due to the legal definition of drone, this encompasses most aircraft that we fly, as responsible club members.

This basically means, these regulations if they come into force, would affect us.

Hopefully common sense will prevail and responsible club flyers will be made exempt, in a similar manner to the 400 feet flying rule.

There is a government consultation document, which you are encouraged to read and complete. It is heavy reading and takes a while to complete. The consultation closes on 17th September 2018.
