The DDMAC bonfire on Saturday 9th November 2019 is now officially CANCELLED.

The field is flooded due the recent heavy rain and there is no prospect of it clearing in the short term.

Due to other commitments, we have no plans to reschedule the bonfire and will arrange some of sort of other event later, to utilise the fireworks, drinks, sweets and food we purchased for the bonfire event.

We will refund the payments to any members who had paid up front.

The club are looking to hold a bonfire and Guy Fawkes Fly-In this year, on Saturday 9th November 2019.

However, this event is expensive to put on and we need members and guests to support the event to make it viable. It costs between £500.00 & £600.00 to put on this event, including the food, drinks, sweets and commercial fireworks.
If we have not got enough members indicating, they are coming, by Friday 25th October 2019, the food and fireworks will be cancelled. We need members to make an effort and support this event, if it is going to go ahead.

Proposed Itinerary for the Day

1100 to 1700 Flying & Fun Fly Events.
1715 Bonfire Lighting.
1715 to 1800 Food served & Night Flying.
1815 to 1900 Fireworks.

This forum will be used for any updates regarding this event.

We have revised the pricing structure to try and make the event financially viable and fair to both members and guests.

Club Members £10.00
Member Guests £3.00

The cost includes the firework display and a choice of food, of either Pie & Peas or something from the barbecue.

Please complete the ‘online attendance and food order form’ or let Martin Lynn know the numbers in your party together with your choice of food.

As a foot note to the posting we could have a early evening bonfire and fireworks on new years eve we would re emburse anyone unable to make it at that time and anyone prepared to attend let us know and we will hold on to your contribution if the date is agreed .
